THE CHALLENGE
The Lunch Bag — a supplier of hot school meals across Ireland — needed a website that would reflect their commitment to quality, nutrition, and community. Their old site didn’t effectively balance the art of presenting detailed nutritional information, school guidelines, and user-friendly ordering or supply information. They needed a site that would appeal to parents, schools, and suppliers, while also making transparency, sustainability, and local sourcing obvious and easy to find.
THE SOLUTION
To address these needs, I built the website around a clean and visually engaging design, using Figma to craft layouts that prioritized readability, trust, and usability. The redesign focused on clear menus of meals with nutritional details, school guides, locally-sourced supplier features, and strong community messaging (“Local Enough to Care,” “Our Suppliers,” “Sustainability”). Once the design was approved, I developed the site in WordPress (or the platform you used) with a backend that allows the Lunch Bag team to easily update information — like menu changes, supplier info, sustainability updates — and manage resources. The site is fully responsive, optimized for performance, with strong visual cues that build confidence and trust with parents and schools.
RESULTS
The new website helps The Lunch Bag deliver its message more effectively: improved clarity around meal nutritional info; easier navigation for schools and parents; stronger presentation of local sourcing and sustainability efforts. The site’s modern look, combined with functional updates, positions The Lunch Bag as a trustworthy leader in school meal services.
